How to connect D3x and Cloudbeds, features & limitations

Connecting D3x and Cloudbeds

Once you give permission to Cloudbeds to start sending data to D3x, you will get re-directed to the Akin dashboard.

Step 1: Log into Cloudbeds and navigate to the API credentials page for your property by clicking Account > Apps & Marketplace in the upper right corner.

Step 2: Use the menu on the top to navigate to the API Credentials Page.

Step 3: Click the '+ New Credentials' button.

Step 4: Fill in the details:
- Name: Akin AI
- Category: Integrator Software
- Redirect URI:
- Click 'Save' in the lower right corner.

You will be presented with a popup containing Client Credentials in the form of a Client ID            and Shared Secret. Keep a copy of these credentials.

Step 5: Log into D3x

Step 6: Navigate to "Stays"

Step 7: Click on 'Setup for Cloudbeds'.

Step 8: Enter the credentials from Cloudbeds.

Go through the flow of approving access to complete the connection.

And Tadaaa 👏🎉 You made it! 

Features of the integration:

With this integration you can get the following options: 

  1. Getting reservation information. 

  2. Getting room type availability (so guests only see the rooms that are available).  

    3. If a guest processes a reservation through Akin, the reservation will automatically be created in Cloudbeds.


Current Limitations:

  • Cloudbeds does not support Add-Ons via API so Cloudbeds Items will not be bookable by the guest on the booking engine.

2-Way services will be available only if Items don't have Fees & Taxes or if they're inclusive (if they're exclusive, they still can be mapped but services will fall back to 1-way when the guest requests them, so you will then have to manually approve them)


Disabling the connection:

Go to the Listings page of Akin, navigate to the "Stays" section and switch off the Cloudbeds connection and click on Confirm when prompted to confirm this action.

No, we do not charge a commission on bookings for the booking engine (Studio) we only charge a monthly subscription fee.
